Agreement
By browsing the public site, submitting an inquiry, opening a shared proposal or invoice, creating an account, or using the client portal, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
If you use the site for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation.
The practice
Nawras Al Bukhari is an independent individual service provider. Public work includes software architecture, backend platforms, AI and computer vision, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and technical leadership.
Case studies, research notes, and capability lists describe completed or representative work. They are not a warranty that the same result will be produced for every future engagement.
Public website
The public site is provided as information about the practice. It may be updated, interrupted, or withdrawn without notice.
Nothing on the site is an offer to contract until a written proposal is accepted, or another written agreement is signed. Prices, timelines, and scope on the site are illustrative unless an accepted proposal states them.
Inquiries
The contact form is for genuine project briefs. You must provide accurate contact details. We may decline an inquiry, including where the work is a poor fit, confidentially constrained, or abusive.
Submitting a brief does not create a delivery obligation. A reply within one business day is an operational target, not a contractual service level unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
Engagements
Paid work is defined by the accepted proposal, statement of work, or invoice that describes the scope, fees, and timeline. Those documents prevail over these website terms for that engagement if they conflict. The Service Provider may decline work and is not required to reserve capacity until the applicable document and payment terms are accepted.
Paid work is also governed by the Master Freelance Services Terms. For an engagement, those terms control over these website terms if they conflict. They are published at /engagement-terms.
You will provide timely access, decisions, content, and environments reasonably required to do the work. Delay on your side may move dates and may be billed if the proposal allows it.
Proposals, invoices, and shares
A proposal or invoice shared by a private link is confidential. Do not publish the URL. Anyone with the link can view that document.
Accepting a proposal, requesting changes, or paying an invoice through the site is a commercial action attached to that document. The payment terms printed on the invoice (for example Net 14 or Net 30) apply to that invoice.
Accounts and portal
Access links, invitations, and passwords are personal. Do not share them. You must keep two-factor authentication credentials, if enabled, under your control.
We may suspend access if we reasonably believe an account is compromised, unpaid beyond agreed terms, or used to abuse the service.
Fees and payments
Fees are those in the accepted proposal or issued invoice, in the stated currency, plus tax where applicable.
Invoice checkout may use PayPal or Payoneer. Those providers process the payment under their own terms. We do not store full payment-card numbers on nbukhari.dev.
Work already performed is chargeable. Prepaid unused time may be discussed in writing; it is not automatically refundable. Payments may not be withheld, set off, or reversed as a chargeback for a good-faith scope dispute without first giving written notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. Late payment may pause delivery until the invoice is settled.
Intellectual property
Subject to payment of the related invoices, you own the deliverables created specifically for you under an engagement, excluding materials we owned before the work or that we develop independently.
We retain our tools, methods, generic components, and know-how. Open-source and third-party components remain under their licences. You are responsible for licences you require us to use.
We do not publish a client case study without permission, except where the engagement already allows a public record. Anonymised or internal records may still be kept for delivery and accounting.
Confidentiality
Each party will keep the other’s non-public information confidential and use it only to perform the engagement, except for information that is public, independently known, or required to be disclosed by law.
Shared document links, portal files, and unpublished case-study material are confidential unless you ask us to publish them.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the site or portal: no unauthorised access, no interference with security, no malware, and no scraping of authenticated areas. Do not use the contact form for spam.
You must not upload unlawful content or content you do not have the right to share.
Warranties
Professional services are provided with reasonable skill and care. We do not warrant particular business results, search rankings, uninterrupted third-party services, or that software will be error-free in every environment.
The public site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, implied warranties are excluded.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to that, our total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees you paid for that engagement in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data, except where the law forbids that exclusion.
Suspension and termination
Either party may terminate an engagement for material breach that is not remedied within a reasonable written period. Unpaid invoices remain due for work already performed.
We may suspend the public site, an account, or a document link to protect the service or to comply with law.
Governing terms
These website terms apply to use of nbukhari.dev. An accepted proposal or invoice may choose a governing law and venue for that engagement; if it does, that choice controls for the engagement.
If no engagement document chooses a law, disputes will be handled, to the maximum extent permitted by law, under the law and in the courts of the place where the Service Provider habitually resides, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply to you and cannot be waived.
If a court finds a part of these terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
